symptom
Why do some GPOs have a red slash and the word "Link" in brackets next to them?

symptom
What does the red slash on a GPO mean?

symptom
What does the word "Link" in brackets next to a GPO indicate?

fix
The red slash indicates that the GPO is checked out of the GP Repository.  The word "Link" in brackets indicates a GPO is linked to multiple categories.  When a GPO is checked out, any linked copies of this GPO display the word "Link" in brackets next to them to indicate they cannot be checked out.
