fix

Installation, upgrade, or uninstallation of the VSA for iSeries product holds and does not release jobs that may include Help/Systems' Robot Job Scheduler jobs. You can back up the files that contain the status of your Robot jobs prior to the installation, upgrade, or uninstallation of VSA for iSeries. After you have installed, upgraded, or uninstalled VSA for iSeries, you can reset the status of Help/Systems' Robot Job Scheduler jobs.

To do this, complete the following steps:

  1. End the Help/Systems' Robot Job Scheduler subsystem.
  2. At a command line, type CPYF ROBOTLIB/RBTCMD QGPL/RBTCMD0PS1 MBROPT(*REPLACE) CRTFILE(*YES) FROMRCD(1) and press Enter.
  3. Type CPYF ROBOTLIB/RBTROB QGPL/RBTROB0PS1 MBROPT(*REPLACE) CRTFILE(*YES) FROMRCD(1) and press Enter.
  4. Install, upgrade, or uninstall the VSA for iSeries product. For more information about installing, upgrading, or uninstalling the VSA for iSeries product, see the VSA for iSeries Installation Guide and the following KB articles:

    • NETIQKB46779: Are there any other considerations for uninstalling VSAi v7.5 that are not included in the Installation Guide?
  5. After the install, upgrade, or uninstallation is complete, restore the files.  At a command line, type CPYF QGPL/RBTCMD0PS1 ROBOTLIB/RBTCMD MBROPT(*REPLACE) FROMRCD(1) and press Enter.
  6. Type CPYF QGPL/RBTROB0PS1 ROBOTLIB/RBTROB MBROPT(*REPLACE) FROMRCD(1) and press Enter.
