Resolution

Fact

Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x
Directory and Resource Administrator 8.0

Symptom

Multi-selecting Users to add to a Group fails if any of the Users are already a member of the Group.

Cannot add a multi-selected set of users to a group.

Cause

DRA does not display Groups in a search if an individual User is already a member of the Group.  In this case, DRA is incorrectly applying this rule to a multi-selected list of Users.

Fix

This issue has been resolved with Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 8.0 SP1.  To resolve this issue, upgrade to DRA 8.0 SP1.

As a workaround to applying SP1:

To display the group you want, either:

  • Only select users that are not already in the group.
    or
  • Remove the users from the group before trying to add them.
