cause
This error is caused by incorrect date conversions when retrieving report data.
fix
This issue is addressed in Group Policy Guardian Version 2.0 Hotfix 48486.
This hotfix addresses an issue where the policy auditing report in NetIQ Group Policy Guardian (GPG) produces the following error:
The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value. The statement has been terminated.
This error is caused by incorrect date conversions when retrieving the report data. This hotfix resolves this issue.
To install this hotfix, perform the following steps on each computer where you installed the GPG reporting component:
- Close all GPG user interfaces.
- Run the GPG2000_Hotfix48486.exe file.
Hotfix 48486 modifies the following files in the GPG installation folder:
- \Web Report App\bin\Report.dll
- \Web Report App\bin\reportsupport.dll
By default, the installation folder is \Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Guardian.
