The endpoints for which you are running reports are in a demilitarized zone (DMZ).

Network address translation is being used.

The Core Services computer has more than one NIC card.

fix

To prevent reports from hanging, complete the following steps:

  1. In the tree pane of the Vulnerability Manager console, expand IT Assets > Agents.
  2. Browse to the agent managing the endpoint for which you want to run the report.
  3. On the Actions menu, click Properties.
  4. In the Core IP Address field, type the IP address of the Core Services computer.
  5. Click OK.

Ports 1621, 1622, and 1626 must be open to communicate through the firewall.
