Environment

Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x
Directory and Resource Administrator 8.x

Situation

What is the syntax to delete an object from the DRA Recycle Bin using the CLI?

Is an object put in the Recycle Bin if it is deleted using the CLI?

If I delete an object using the CLI, is it sent to the Recycle Bin?
How do I delete a User Account from the DRA Recycle Bin using the CLI?

How do I delete a Group from the DRA Recycle Bin using the CLI?

How do I delete a Contact from the DRA Recycle Bin using the CLI?

How do I delete a Computer from the DRA Recycle Bin using the CLI?

Resolution

DRA does not currently have a CLI command that permanently deletes objects from the Recycle Bin.

If the Recycle Bin feature is enabled for the domain, when you run a CLI command to delete an object, DRA places the object into the Recycle Bin container.

If the Recycle Bin feature is not enabled for the domain, when you run a CLI command to delete an object, the CLI will permanently delete the object.
