While accessing the IBM QAUDJRN audit journal directly or through a report I received CPF7053 with reason code 3.

symptom
Error: 'CPF7053.'

cause
A QAUDJRN journal has been deleted and recreated, but old journal receivers on the system are associated with the QAUDJRN object that got deleted. When you try to access the old journal receivers the operating system does not associate them with the current QAUDJRN object and gives the error.

fix

To resolve this issue, either delete all the journal receivers that are older than the current journal's creation date or try to restore the old QAUDJRN object to display the entries that are in the old journal receivers. Any newer journal receivers that are associated with the newer QAUDJRN object will not be accessable and trying to access them will yield the same error message.
