NetIQ Group Policy Administrator 4.6

Delegation tab always shows the permissions as Custom.

This is due to an error in the GPO comparison reports and an inconsistency in the way GPA interprets GPO delegation rights.

This issue is addressedin NetIQ Group Policy Administrator version 4.6 Hotfix 48102.

This hotfix addresses two separate issues relating to how the Group Policy Administrator (GPA) console displays information in the GPO comparison report and how the GPA Console displays default delegation rights on GPOs.  The GPO comparison report lists delegation settings in the Security Filters section of the report rather than a separate Delegation section. The GPA Console shows default delegation rights as Custom instead of Read. This hotfix corrects both of these errors.

To install this hotfix, perform the following steps on each computer where you installed the GPA Console:

  1. Close all GPA user interfaces.
  2. Run the GPG46000_Hotfix48102.exe file.

This hotfix modifies the following files:

  • \Bin\XML\GpoCompare\faGpoCompareGeneral.xsl
  • \Bin\XML\GpoCompare\faGpoCompareMSI.xsl
  • \Bin\XML\GpoReport\faGpoReportGeneral.xsl
  • \Bin\XML\GpoReport\faGpoReportMSI.xsl
  • \Bin\faGPExpUI.dll
  • \Bin\faGPOControl.ocx
  • \Bin\faGPR.dll

By default, these files are located in the Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Administrator 4.6 folder.
