symptom
The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format.

cause

This error can occur in the following cases:

  • When a VPN connection is running on a slow or saturated WAN link
  • When there is a firewall Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size restriction


fix

Reduce the MTU size on the DMA console computer and the servers across the WAN link.
