cause

The domain was added to the Repository using the NetBIOS name rather than the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). The GPA Console prompts you to use the DNS name, but it also permits you to use a NetBIOS name. GPA locates the domain controller for the specified domain using the NetBIOS name. However, if you attempt to Import a GPO from AD, you will receive the error "Please import GPO from domain..." If you try to export a newly created GPO, you will receive the error, "Access denied..."

fix
To resolve this issue you need to remove the domain from the Repository and add it again using the FQDN or by browsing the list of trusted domains.

If you have previously defined any GPR Security or created GPOs or Categories in this domain, you will have to redefine the security and recreate the categories and GPOs.
