fix

DRA does not currently allow you to delegate authority to a user to send out mail from a specified distribution group by granting a member of the distribution group Send As permissions.

If you are using Windows Server 2003, you can use Active Directory Users and Computers to delegate authority to a user to send out mail from a specified distribution group by granting the user Send As permissions. Send As permissions are not available in Windows 2000 Server.

To set Send As permissions for a distribution group using Active Directory Users and Computers:

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. Select the distribution group to which you want to assign Send As permissions.
  3. From the Action menu, select Properties.
  4. Click the Security tab.
  5. In the group or user names area, ensure the user that you want to grant Send As permission to is listed. If the user is not listed, add the user.
  6. Click OK
  7. Select the user account to which you want to delegate Send As permissions.
  8. Select the Send As checkbox to grant the user Send As permissions.
  9. Click Apply.
  10. Click OK.

note
Note: The request for this type of functionality is being considered for a future release, however, at this time there has been no decision made to include this feature.
