DRA does not currently allow you to delegate authority to a user to send out mail from a specified distribution group by granting a member of the distribution group Send As permissions.
If you are using Windows Server 2003, you can use Active Directory Users and Computers to delegate authority to a user to send out mail from a specified distribution group by granting the user Send As permissions. Send As permissions are not available in Windows 2000 Server.
To set Send As permissions for a distribution group using Active Directory Users and Computers:
- Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Select the distribution group to which you want to assign Send As permissions.
- From the Action menu, select Properties.
- Click the Security tab.
- In the group or user names area, ensure the user that you want to grant Send As permission to is listed. If the user is not listed, add the user.
- Click OK.
- Select the user account to which you want to delegate Send As permissions.
- Select the Send As checkbox to grant the user Send As permissions.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
