If a non-standard port is specified on the SQL Server, you must also configure this port on the SQL Server Client Network Utility. Configuring a port on the SQL Server Client Network Utility requires you to perform several related tasks in a particular sequence. The following list provides an overview of the correct sequence. - Close any open GPG Consoles or GPG reports.
- Stop the NetIQ GPG Host Service and GPG Control Service.
- Use TaskManager to stop the
EventAudit.exe
application. - Configure the non-standard port on the SQL Server Client Network Utility.
- Stop and restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service.
- Start the NetIQ GPG Host Service and GPG Control Service.
To configure a port on the SQL Server Client Network Utility:
- Start the Client Network Utility in the Microsoft SQL Server program folder.
- Select TCP/IP in the list of enabled protocols.
- Click Properties.
- In the Default port field, type the same port number that is configured on the SQL Server.
- Click OK.
