Resolution

fact
Exchange Migrator 2.3

symptom
Mailbox pre-script process is setting mailbox options on the source mailbox, however when the mailbox is migrated, the resulting target mailbox still has the original value.

symptom
I am using a pre-migration script to set mailbox options on the source mailboxes, but the migrated target mailboxes still migrate with the original values.

symptom
My pre-migration script does not change the property values on the migrated target mailboxes.

cause

Exchange Migrator caches the source mailbox properties before running pre-migration scripts.

fix

Pre-migration scripts set properties on the source mailboxes. Post-migration scripts set options on the migrated target mailboxes. To update options on target mailboxes, configure the script to run as a post-migration (post-process) script. To also update the source mailbox property values, run the script as a pre-migration (pre-process) script, too.

note

Pre-migration and post-migration scripting can help you achieve the results you want, but NetIQ Technical Support cannot provide scripting support.
