Error: "SQL authentication is not enabled on Core Services. Please use Windows authentication."

symptom
Logging on causes an authentication error.

cause
The Vulnerability Manager console options are set to use SQL authentication, but Core Services is not configured to accept SQL authentication.

fix

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Vulnerability Manager console.
  2. On the logon window, click Configure.
  3. Clear the Enable SQL Authentication check box.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Log on to Vulnerability Manager.
