goal
How do I specify a new Initials field value when cloning a template user?
goal
How do I prevent DRA from using the existing Initials field value when cloning a template user?
goal
What determines the value of the template user Initials field?
fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.5
symptom
If you do not specify an Initials value when cloning a template user, cloning a template user that has the Initials field populated sets the value of the Initials field on the target account.
cause
The server has a hard-coded list of what to clone and the Initials field is not included in the list.

fix
A ticket is open to include the 'Initials' property as a property to not clone from source to target in a future release of DRA.
Workaround: Add the Initials field to the CloneExceptions key. For more information about this procedure, see the NETIQKB3604 KB article.
