fix

To import systems into NetIQ Vulnerability Manager using a text file:

  1. Create a text file identifying the systems to import. Use any of the following formats in the text file:

        <HostName><Tab><IPAddress><Tab><Domain<<Enter>
        <HostName><Tab><IPAddress><Enter>
        <HostName><Tab><null><Tab><Domain><Enter>
        <HostName><Enter>

        Example text file:

        Host1     10.2.1.25     mycompany.us.com
        Host2     10.2.1.50
        Host3     null     mycompany.us.com
        Host4

  2. Open the NetIQ Vulnerability Manager Console.
  3. Ensure the Console is in Advanced Mode.
  4. Expand the IT Assets node.
  5. Right-click Discovered Systems.
  6. In the Context menu, click Import Systems
  7. Navigate to the text file you created in Step 1.
  8. Click Open. Within a few minutes, the systems identified in the text file will appear in the list of discovered systems.
