To import systems into NetIQ Vulnerability Manager using a text file:
- Create a text file identifying the systems to import. Use any of the following formats in the text file:

<HostName><Tab><null><Tab><Domain><Enter>
<HostName><Enter>
Example text file:Host1 10.2.1.25 mycompany.us.com
Host2 10.2.1.50
Host3 null mycompany.us.com
Host4 - Open the NetIQ Vulnerability Manager Console.
- Ensure the Console is in Advanced Mode.
- Expand the IT Assets node.
- Right-click Discovered Systems.
- In the Context menu, click Import Systems.
- Navigate to the text file you created in Step 1.
- Click Open. Within a few minutes, the systems identified in the text file will appear in the list of discovered systems.
