Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x

Situation

Agent installation fails with error: 'There is not enough space on the installation target drive , please allocate 0 MB of space and then press Yes to continue installation. Press No to abort installation.'

Agent installation fails with error: 'Failed to run setup program.'

Agent will not install to the specified drive letter.

Resolution

Map a temporary network drive to the letter, targeting the drive letter back to the Servers C$ share, to allow the installer to verify the diskspace on that location.  Once the installation is complete, remove the mapping.

For Windows NT Terminal Server, perform a Local Agent Installation.

Cause

The installation fails because the program is trying to access a drive that does not exist. The Operating System installer is reading corrupt or cached drive information.
