Resolution
The Data Mart component stores the fact data that is rolled up in the Data Warehouse and Cubes. The Data Warehouse takes advantage of OLAP aggregation for reporting. Analysis Center reporting uses the Data Warehouse.
Recoverability is one of the key benefits of storing data within the Data Mart. Analysis Center cubes can only be rebuilt based on the data available in the Data Mart. For example, if you keep 18 months of data in the Data Warehouse and 3 months in the Data Mart and your Data Warehouse fails without recovery, you must perform a full process of the cubes. Given that you only have 3 months in the Data Mart, you would only be able to recover 3 months of data.

To adjust the schedule for the OLAP job to meet the needs of your environment, you must use SQL Enterprise Manager. You cannot change the physical storage or aggregation without going through Data Mart or Data Warehouse due to the settings of SQL Analysis Services (OLAP), which aggregates every 15 minutes.
