symptom

Error maintaining files containing data.

SFE error - Session or device error occurred in file DB001D1 (C G D F).  Cause . . . . . :   RPG procedure DB001R1 in program PSSECURE/DB001R1 at statement 1780 detected a session or device error. Recovery may be possible.

cause

This is a known issue in IBM OS/400 V5R3.

fix

This issue has been resolved with PTF 1S02002 which can be requested by e-mail to Technical Support (support@netiq.com) or by downloading from the version 7.5 tab at the following location:

https://www.netiq.com/support/vsa/extended/hotfixes_iseries.asp
