cause

Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) currently supports a maximum length of 48 characters in the Description field on computer account objects. The 48-character limitation is a carry-over from Windows NT4 which allows only 48 characters in its Comment field on computer accounts.

fix

To avoid getting an error when entering a description for a computer account, do not use more than 48 characters.

An enhancement request has been opened with Development to resolve this issue in a future release of Directory and Resource Administrator.
