EMProfileUpdate generates an error when updating MAPI profiles
cause
After migrating mailboxes with Exchange Migrator, you can run the EMProfileUpdate program on each client computer, often using a logon script, to update a user?s Outlook profile and point to the new Exchange server. This EMProfileUpdate command line error is typically caused by an incomplete MAPI profile listing in the local registry of the EMProfileUpdate client machine. One example of this could be a MAPI profile that was created but never logged into.
EMProfileUpdate scans the following registry key to enumerate all profiles in this key and compares the values to values in the mapping tab file specified in the EMProfileUpdate command line parameter:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

You can safely ignore this error message because EMProfileUpdate correctly updates the profile entry with the complete MAPI profile.
