fix

Hotfix 46104 corrects the following issues:

  • The Enterprise Consistency Check wizard returns a "could not find display name" error when using a DNS domain name that does not include a period character (like "netiq" instead of "netiq.com"). This hotfix allows you to use such a DNS domain name when running the Enterprise Consistency Check wizard.
  • When migrating a GPO that references the local service account, the GPA does not migrate the GPO and does not return an error. GPA may improperly migrate the local service account. This hotfix correctly allows GPA to migrate the GPO and maintains the reference to the local service account.

To install this hotfix, run GPA46000_Hotfix46104.exe on each GPA console and repository computer.

This hotfix modifies the following files in the installation folders. By default, this folder is \Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Administrator 4.6\Bin:

  • faGPRInterface.dll
  • NqGpoComparePrep.exe
