fix

Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) does not currently have the capability to automatically fail over to a different domain controller (DC). DRA connects to one domain controller for all Active Directory changes. If this "preferred" domain controller is restarted or becomes unavailable, you must manually point DRA to a different DC, forcing an accounts cache refresh.

An Enhancement Request has been opened with Development to include this functionality in a future version of Directory and Resource Administrator.

note

Whenever you point DRA to a different DC, DRA must refresh the accounts cache. DRA cannot assume the current cache is valid for another DC in the same domain because there is no guarantee the domain controllers have the same information at any point in time.
