Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x

Situation

How do I determine what Resource Dependencies have been set on a Cluster Node?

Resolution

To determine what Resource Dependencies have been set on a Cluster Node being monitored by AppManager:

On the Cluster node with an AppManager Agent installed, or from a Management Server (MS) in your AppManager environment:

  1. Open a command prompt.
  2. Type netiqctrl and press Enter.
  3. Run listrsc [host_name] netiqmc from the NetIQqctrl prompt.
  4. In the displayed results, the Resource Dependencies currently set for that host are listed as 'ResDepend ==>'.

From the AppManager Operator Console:

  1. Open Extensions | NetIQctrl
  2. Run listrsc [host_name] netiqmc from the NetIQqctrl prompt.
  3. In the displayed results, the Resource Dependencies currently set for that host are listed as 'ResDepend ==>'.

All of the listed Resource Dependencies must be available for AppManager to view the node as 'Active'.
