fix

Use the search feature in Group Policy Administrator (GPA) to find any unlinked GPOs using the GPO GUID and then manually link the GPOs.

To use the Search Group Policy function:

  1. From the GPA Console, expand the GP Analysis node.
  2. Select the Search node.
  3. On the Action menu, click Search GPO.
  4. Use the Search window to define your search criteria.  When you use the Search window, you:
  • Provide a name for your search (GPA saves your search as a report)
  • Define the domain where you want to search for GPOs
  • Choose the type of search you want to perform
  • Define search criteria and add them to the list of criteria
  • Search for GPOs that meet the criteria
  • Remove or modify criteria as necessary

To manually link the GPO:

  1. Check out the GPO in the GP Repository.
  2. Click the Properties button on the toolbar.
  3. Select the AD Links tab.
  4. Click the Add button and browse to the container you which you wish wish to link the GPO.
  5. Click OK, and then click OK again.
  6. Check the GPO back in to the GP Repository.
  7. Approve the GPO for export.
  8. Export the GPO to AD.
