cause
These duplicate entries are caused by locally installing agents and specifying automatic registration on those computers.

fix
Netiq Vulnerability Manager 5.0.1 Hotfix 44958 resolves this issue.  The hotfix can be downloaded from https://www.netiq.com/support/vsm/extended/hotfixes.asp?version=501&productID=VM
