Resolution
fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x
symptom
"The Exchange 5.5 mailbox of the source user account will not be copied to the new account."
symptom
Message received when cloning users with an Exchange 2000/2003 mailbox while ADC is enabled.
cause
This issue may occur if you have Active Directory Connector (ADC) configured to replicate Exchange 2000/2003 mailbox information to an Exchange 5.5 directory. (You would need to do this to allow Exchange 5.5 users to see the Exchange 2003 users in the address book.) ADC creates "dummy" mailboxes on Exchange 5.5 that are pointers to the Exchange 2000/2003 mailboxes. Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) sees these "dummy" mailboxes and assumes the user has an Exchange 5.5 mailbox.

fix
When you clone a user account that has both Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000/2003 mailboxes, DRA clones the Exchange 2000/2003 information, and NOT the Exchange 5.5 information. A warning message alerts you to the presence of both types of mailboxes. However, DRA clones the account correctly and you can safely ignore the warning message.
