Setting the account expiration date of a user account via the web console causes the account expiration date to be set to November 29, 1969.
Users are unable to logon after setting the account expiration date to 'Never' from the Directory and Resource Administrator web console.
The Web Console may incorrectly save a user account expiration date set to Never as a specific date, such as November 29, 1969.
The issue is due to the Web console submitting the account expiration date to the Administration server in an incorrect format.
This issue is addressed in NetIQ Directory and Resource Administrator and Exchange Administrator version 7.5 Hotfix 45342.
Hotfix 45342 corrects an issue with how the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) Web Console saves user account expiration dates set to Never. In certain cases, the Web Console may incorrectly save a user account expiration date set to Never as a specific date, such as November 29, 1969. With this hotfix applied, the Web Console saves user account expiration dates set to Never correctly.
Note: This Hotfix requires DRA version 7.5.
To install this hotfix:
- Close all DRA user interfaces.
- Run the DRA75000_Hotfix45342.msi file on each Internet Information Server (IIS) computer where you installed the DRA Web component. This is typically the Administration server computer, but the DRA Web component may also be installed on a separate IIS computer from the Administration server computer.
