fact
Domain Migration Administrator 7.2

fact
DMA Hotfix 44959

fact
DMA Hotfix 45265

symptom
The Primary NT Account is changed but the permissions tab still shows the source account.

symptom
When I translate security for Exchange Mailboxes, the primary NT Account is properly updated, but the permissions tab does not reflect the target account.

symptom

During Exchange 5.5 mailbox translations, DMA translates all mailbox owners but, in some cases, does not translate mailbox security permissions.

cause

DMA 7.2 Hotfix 44959 caused an issue with the Translate Security for Exchange Mailboxes process. This hotfix caused the Primary NT Account to be properly updated, but did not update the permissions tab to reflect the target account. DMA 7.2 Hotfix 45265 corrects this issue when translating mailbox ownership and security on Exchange 5.5 mailboxes.

fix

Choose one of the following resolutions to this issue:

  • Upgrade to DMA 7.2 Hotfix 45265.
  • If you are unable to upgrade to DMA 7.2 Hotfix 45265, increase the DMA logging level to 7.This will allow the process to complete successfully.
