To integrate the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) with Security Manager:

  1. Install MBSA according to Microsoft guidelines.
  2. Run the Security Manager installation program and select the Additional Setup tab.
  3. Click Center for Internet Security Module Setup to start the setup wizard.
  4. Provide the wizard the path for the MBSA installation.
  5. To receive alerts and enforce configuration settings you can:
    • Configure Intrusion Manager for Windows integration with SCM and SCA, using the Configuration Wizard. For more information, see the Security Manager User Guide.
    • Configure Intrusion Manager for Windows for CIS Windows 2000 Level-1 Benchmark compliance. For complete information about integrating CIS Windows 2000 Level-1 Benchmark compliance support, see the Using the NetIQ CIS Module Technical Reference.
  6. Expand the Intrusion Manager for Windows > Security Policy Enforcement folder in the Monitor Console to examine the views.
