Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x
SNMP Toolkit for Windows

Situation

Event: MIB Tree Reloading failed to execute.

Resolution

This is generally only a problem if SyncPoll or SyncPollTable jobs are running, as they keep open an active SNMP Session throughout the entire length of the polling activity.  If SyncPoll or SyncPollTable jobs are running, just increase the MIB Reload Timeout parameter to be longer than any of the polling times (attempts * interval).  The MIB Reload will then be able to execute between iterations of the polling jobs.

Cause

Install/Uninstall of MIB files with the AddMIBs/RemoveMIBs script.

SNMP Sessions cannot be active when the MIB Tree is reloaded.   The MIB Reload Timeout parameter specifies how long to wait for zero SNMP Sessions active.  If the timeout expires, this event will occur.  Please note that 'SNMP Sessions' does not equal 'SNMP jobs'.  Each SNMP job will only open an SNMP Session when it needs to communicate with an SNMP Device; the MIB Tree Reload can still proceed if all running SNMP jobs do not currently have an active SNMP session.
