Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x
NetIQ AppManager for SNMP
NetIQ SNMP Toolkit (Windows)

Situation

One or more rows of the SNMP Table have a missing value.
Event: SNMP Success Event, but entire SNMP Table has not been retrieved.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. View the SNMP Table with any SNMP MIB Browser.
    • The NET-SNMP "tkmib" MIB Browser usage instructions are in the NET-SNMP.TXT file packaged with the Toolkit.
  2. Verify that the row after the last row shown in the SNMP Success Event does have missing values.
    • If so, the "Optional Table Indices" parameter can be used to selectively filter which rows to retrieve from an SNMP Table. Specifying a list of table row indices that do not have missing values will allow the table retrieval to run to completion.

Cause

One or more rows of the SNMP Table have a missing value. This causes the SNMP Walk to become out of sync, and the Table Walk is halted at this point.

This is not considered to be an error.by the SNMP Toolkit module.
