fix

The Enforced and Enabled settings (which appear on the LinksandInheritance Hierarchy tab in NetIQ Group Policy Administrator) refer to the following:

  • Enabled (Disabled) = The GPO is not applied to this container
  • Enforced (No Override) = Prevents other GPOs from overriding policy set in this one

These settings can be modified only when a GPO has been checked out.  To change these settings, perform the following steps:

  1. Launch the NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) console.
  2. Under GP Repository | Repository Server | <your domain name>, select a category.
  3. Expand the category.
  4. Right-click a GPO and select Check Out.
  5. Right-click the GPO again and select Properties.
  6. Click on the AD Links tab.
  7. Double-click the link in the List of OUs this GPO is linked to window.
  8. Check either of the two box options accordingly and click OK.
  9. Click OK again.
  10. Right-click the GPO and select Check In.

The fields will display the new Enforced and Enabled status on the Links and Inheritance Hierarchy tab.
