cause
There is an issue in Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) where it incorrectly loads the Description/Comment value of the NetApp filer as the name of the filer in the UNC path. This issue only occurs when DMA is installed on a Microsoft Windows XP/2003 or later machine. 

fix

There are two workarounds for this issue:

• Install and run Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) from a Microsoft Windows 2000 machine.

-OR-

• Correct the path to the filter. To do this:

1. After you select the target share on the Path Selection screen, update the path shown in the Path field to reflect the correct name of the server.
• e.g. \\My Storage Server (serverName)\Data  would change to \\serverName\Data
2. Complete the wizard .
