cause
There is an issue in Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) where it incorrectly loads the Description/Comment value of the NetApp filer as the name of the filer in the UNC path. This issue only occurs when DMA is installed on a Microsoft Windows XP/2003 or later machine.

cause

fix
There are two workarounds for this issue:
- Install and run Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) from a Microsoft Windows 2000 machine.
-OR-
- Correct the path to the filter. To do this:
- After you select the target share on the Path Selection screen, update the path shown in the Path field to reflect the correct name of the server.
- e.g. \\My Storage Server (serverName)\Data would change to \\serverName\Data
- Complete the wizard .
