To hide the GP Explorer node, perform the following steps:

  1. From the command line, run "mmc" and press Enter.
  2. Select File | Open and open "C:\Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Administrator\Bin\NetIQ Group Policy Administrator.msc".
  3. Once this is loaded, select File | Add Remove Snapin | Extensions tab.
  4. Uncheck the Add all extensions checkbox and uncheck the first available extension, which corresponds to the GP Explorer extension.
  5. Save and distribute the new .msc file.
