Note:  EMProfileUpdate usage with the Novell client has not been tested and therefore is not supported by NetIQ Technical Support.  Customers are highly encouraged to test the scenario before performing the task in their production environment.


Although this scenario has not been officially tested, EMProfileUpdate should work if the user authenticated via Microsoft Windows and the following registry keys are created:

For Microsoft Windows NT/Windows 2000 or later:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

For Microsoft Windows 98/ME:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
