symptom
An endpoint appears to be offline in the console and a report cannot be run against it, yet the system is up and running.

cause
Either the agent or endpoint is not registered or the agent service is not started.

fix

To register the agent and endpoint:

  1. Right-click the agent or endpoint and select Reregister.
  2. Start the agent service.
