This error message appears during installation and in the s0.log file in the \Program Files\Pentasafe\VSAN\Log directory.

This error occurs when you attempt to run the 'Install as a Service' option from the Service Installation tab of the Configure Agent wizard.

cause
The password policy does not allow the default password used for the netiqnw account created by the application.

fix

To address this issue:

• Relax the password policy on the domain to allow the default password used for the netiqnw account.

• Temporarily move the machine to a standalone workgroup to install the service.
