Situation

Installing the Chart Console causes the error, ERROR: 'unInstaller setup failed to initialize. You may not be able to uninstall this product.'

Resolution

To ensure that the log-on account has the permissions required to install the product:

  1. Do one of the following to ensure that you have the required permissions:
    • Grant the logged on account administrative rights to complete the installation
    • Use a local administrative account to install the Chart Console.
  2. Do one of the following to install:
    • Allow the logged-on account to complete installation.
    • Configure the security utility to allow AppManager product installations.

Cause

The logged-on account does not have full administrative rights to install software.

The 3rd party Utility Software does not allow installation of products.
