How can I get my iSeries system name to display on each of the NetIQ iSeries product menus?

From a Command Line, execute the following steps:

  1. PSMENU, press Enter.
  2. Option 2 PSSecure, press Enter.
  3. Option 1  Secure Menuing System, press Enter.
  4. Option 3  User Security & Administration , press Enter.
  5. Option 11  Work With Companies, press Enter.
  6. Use Option 1=Select next to the line where the Company Code is blank, press Enter.
  7. Edit the Company Name to be XXXXXXX-NetIQ for iSeries (where XXXXXXX is your system name), press Enter.
  8. Exit out back to PSMENU and then you will see this new heading displayed at the top of each menu.

Note: This can be particularly useful for machines that have multiple LPARs (Logical partitions) to provide visibility of which partition is being accessed.
