No, the AppManager Unix Agent cannot use NetBIOS names or the NetBIOS protocol when contacting the Management Server unless a third party application has been installed (i.e. Samba). The Unix agent communicates with the Management Server using the following mechanism:
- /etc/hosts
- NIS
- DNS
