Error Message in core.log : ' [Registration] CoreID is 0, possibly NULL! 2004-06-29 12:01:10,453   INFO [mk-3] [Registration] forwarding call to remote core (10.x.xx.xx)'.

symptom
Registering agents seems to take a long time.

fix
The error message in the core.log indicates that another installation of VigilEnt Security Server or NetIQ Core Services exists.  The solution is to remove the second installation of VigilEnt Security Server or NetIQ Core Services. After removal, stop and restart the VigilEnt Security Server or NetIQ Core Services service.
