The NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) Repository provides the functionality to Copy/Paste a Group Policy Object (GPO). 

In NetIQ Group Policy Administrator 4.0, the Repository did not allow you to move a GPO between Categories.  Dragging and dropping GPOs in the Repository performed a Copy operation rather than a Move operation.  The Move functionality has been added to NetIQ Group Policy Administrator 4.5 by simply editing the GPO links. 

There are two methods for moving a GPO between categories in the Repository:

Method 1 (Move operation):

1. Right-click a GPO in the Repository and drag it to a different category.
2. Select Move Here from the menu dialog.
3. Select Yes when prompted with the dialog Remove GPO link:GPO_Name ? from the originating category.  

Method 1 (Copy Operation):

1. Right-click a GPO in the Repository and drag it to a different category.
2. Select Copy Here from the menu dialog.
3. Select OK on the Paste GPO Link successfully dialog.

Method 2 (Move Operation):

1. Left-click a GPO in the Repository and drag it to a different category. Click OK when the Paste GPO Link successfully dialog appears. This will result in a copy operation.
2. Select Yes when prompted with the dialog Remove GPO link:GPO_Name ?.

1. Left-click a GPO in the repository and drag it to a different category. Click OK when the Paste GPO Link successfully dialog appears. This will result in a copy operation.
2. Select No when prompted with the dialog Remove GPO link:GPO_Name ?.
