Exchange Migrator 2.x
symptom
"SQL is terminating due to stop request from service control manager" during installation
cause
This could be caused if the machine on which Exchange Migrator is being installed previously had SQL installed.
fix
The only known resolution to this issue is to completely uninstall SQL, including all registry keys and pointers.
note
To confirm this issue is not caused by Exchange Migrator, download and try to install MSDE from the Microsoft website. If installing MSDE causes the same issue, the likely cause is a previous installation of SQL.

It is highly recommended that you contact Microsoft to verify the correct procedure for uninstalling SQL before proceeding.
