Resolution

goal
Can Exchange Migrator be 'pointed' to an existing remote SQL server to create a new database during Installation of the first Exchange Migrator Console?

goal
Can I point Exchange Migrator during installation to an existing remote SQL server to create a new database?

fact
Exchange Migrator 2.x

fix
You can not point Exchange Migrator to an existing remote SQL server to create a new Database. The database must be created on the same machine that Exchange Migrator is being installed on. Alternatively, you can install Exchange Migrator on the SQL server and after the installation is complete, install a new EM console and point it to the remote SQL server.
