To create a new policy using a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation:

  1. Place the PowerPoint presentation file on a network drive that all employees have access to.  Be sure to document the complete URL to this location.  (e.g.  \\Fileserver01\Support\PolicyCenter\Documents\actual document name).
  2. Log on to the VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) Administration site.
  3. Go to the Policy Center tab.
  4. Create a new policy using the VPC editor or the HTML editor.
  5. In the policy, you may want to provide a description of the PowerPoint presentation your customer is about to read.  Be sure to add the link to the policy.

    Example:

    This is our company policy that pertains to our stance on Equal Opportunity.  Below you will see a link which will begin the presentation:

    \\Fileserver01\Support\PolicyCenter\Documents\actual document name

  6. Save the policy using the Save icon.
  7. Go to the View | Edit Policy tab | Drafts folder. 
  8. Verify that the new policy is in the Drafts folder and ensure that the link to the PowerPoint presentation works.
