Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0 SP1

symptom
Error: ' The Object 'OnePoint//rule=rule_name, av=av_name=Security' does not exist.'

symptom

Attempting to modify a rule in an ActiveView generates the following error message:

'The Object 'OnePoint//rule=rule_name,av=av_name=Security' does not exist.

cause
The above described error is received when an Assistant Admin attempts to modify or create a rule in an ActiveView, which has a '/' backslash in the ActiveView name.

fix

This issue is corrected in DRA 7.5. In order to resolve this issue, upgrade to the latest version of DRA.

As a workaround, rename the ActiveView by removing the '/' backslash from its name and click Apply.  After the ActiveView name has been changed and no longer includes a backslash, the Assistant Admins will be able to modifying existing rules and create new rules in the ActiveView.
