Situation

Tivoli Connector fails to forward events to Tivoli TEC.
Msadpt_tiv.log only contains the following entries:
Thu Mar 25 10:09:20 2004

msadpt host name : HOSTNAME

Resolution

Correct the permissions issue by assigning a log on account for the  NetIQ Management Server service account (netiqms.exe) to access and read the connector registry keys.  Alternately, the log on account can be set to Local System if the AppManager Repository SQL server is running in mixed security mode.

Cause

This is the result of insufficient permissions assigned to the NetIQ Management Server service account (netiqms.exe).  The log on account does not have permissions to read the registry entries for connector,  HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Netiq\Appmanager\4.0\Netiqms\integration\tiv.
