Group Policy Administrator 4.0 MSI console file cannot be deployed via a GPO.
symptom
Deploying the GPA client using the GPA40.msi file via a GPO, the target system(s) display a GPA installing message indefintely and appear to hang.
cause
The MSI file included with the GPA 4.0 release was not designed to be deployed via a GPO, and is untested for that process.
fix
This issue is resolved with the release of version 5.0 for Group Policy Administrator. GPAConsole.mst is now provided so that the console can be installed via group policy. Please upgrade to version 5.0 or later to resolve this issue.
