Remote Request Management (RRM)

Situation

How do I copy the RRM Exit Point configuration, Secured Entries, group information, and RRM defaults from one iSeries system to another?

Resolution

To export RRM Exit Point configuration, Secured Entries, group information, and RRM defaults from one iSeries system to another:  

On the source system, run these commands:  

  • ADDLIBLE PSCOMMON
  • RRMSNDCFG SYSTEM(system-name) USER(user-profile) PASSWORD(password)

Note: This will overlay the What If data on the target system.  

On the target system, starting at the PSMENU, select these options: 

  1. Option 2 (PSSecure)
  2. Option 3 (Remote Request Management)
  3. Option 10 (Work With What If Analysis)
  4. Option 1 (Work with What If Entries) - to view and work with secured entries imported from another system.
  5. Option 11 (Promote What If Files) - to move what if entries to secured environment. See Note below.  

Note: ALL WHAT IF CONFIGURATION IS MOVED TO THE SECURED ENVIRONMENT.   IF EXIT POINTS SPECIFY SECURED = *YES IN THE WHAT IF ENVIRONMENT, THEY WILL ALSO BE SPECIFY SECURED = *YES IN THE SECURED ENVIRONMENT.
